In August 2017, I spent 3 days retracing the steps of Edward Hopper along the Maine coast. as the sun set on my 2nd day in Maine, I made the trek to Pemaquid Point where the lighthouse is the main attraction (and frequently painted by Hopper himself), but the striated shore with massive boulders strewn about was the real star the day I was there, especially at sunset.
