Bootcamp for Artists

I'm proud to announce that my art (and a long quote) made it into a feature article in the Aug/Sep issue of Professional Artist Magazine. The story, written by nationally known art business consultant Carolyn Edlund (www.artsyshark.com), highlights the benefits to what she terms "Art Business Bootcamps". These are 1-2 day long intensive workshops focusing on marketing, pricing, branding and a whole host of other topics crucial to building and growing a sustainable art business.

I was fortunate to attend one such bootcamp, the "Art Business Summit" in April where I met Carolyn. It was hosted by the Clark Hulings Fund for Visual Artists (www.clarkhulingsfund.org) whose mantra is "Art Is A Business, And Artists Should Run It." Amen!

Click on the slideshow to see a few pics from the story, including my aerial view painting "New Mexico Descent No. 4" and cityscape "Barcelona No. 2". What a thrill to be in a magazine that I have subscribed to over the years!
