60 in 6 Months?!?

Since the beginning of this year, I've thought a lot about what I make and how I make it. On June 1st, I made a decision and committed to myself, to you, and the Muses that I would create 60 completely new artworks by the end of 2017.

60 in 6 months?!?

Simply by setting this ambitious goal, I felt reinvigorated and had one of the most productive months of my life. I'm exploring new subjects and testing new materials and techniques (even fingerpainting!) with all of these.

And you know what else? I'm having an absolute ball in the studio and couldn't wait to share what's happened with you here. Check them all out in the SCAPES section.

Opening Night of "The Sky Show"

Scenes from the opening of "The Sky Show", my very first exhibition of 2017 featuring cloudscapes of all types. Huge thanks to all the friends/collectors who came out! The show continues at BODY of Santa Fe (333. W. Cordova Road, Santa Fe, 87505) through May 30th.

"Santa Fe Sky, No. 3", my largest oil painting to date, greets you at the door!

High altitude views over clouds during flights are one of my favorite perspectives to paint.

Yours truly with "Above The Clouds IV", inspired by the view of clouds over the Gulf of Mexico en route to Miami, FL.

The Sky Show Kicks Off 2017!

I'm happy to share that my collection of cloudscapes will be on display at BODY of Santa Fe from April 1–May 31. We're celebrating with an OPENING RECEPTION on Friday, April 7 from 5:30–8:30pm with food, drinks, music, and of course, lots of art! BODY is located at 333 W. Cordova Road | Santa Fe | 87505 (MAP)

If you're in Santa Fe, I'd love to see you on April 7 and give you a personal tour of the space and show. For those living further away, here are some pics of works in progress for the show and some "sneak peak" shots of the installation. They practice yoga there, and have a first rate day spa/salon, so soothing, pretty clouds complement the serene environment.

More news about this show and other events for the summer coming soon!
