Scenes from the Santa Fe Studio Tour

2018 marked my first year participating in the Santa Fe Studio Tour and it was a smashing success! A steady stream of visitors stopped by over the last 2 weekends of June, and 8 paintings found new homes. I couldn't be happier!!! :) You can check out my workspace converted into a gallery space in the pics below. I'm doing the Studio Tour again in 2019 on June 15–16 and June 22–23, so that would be a great time to plan a visit to see my studio and Santa Fe.

Art Connections: Santa Fe to Albuquerque

Last summer I met interior designer Brianne Clarkson while exhibiting my landscapes at a pop-up show in Santa Fe. We stayed in touch via email since then, and during that time, Brianne transitioned full time to work with April Price at April Price Projects/Design Studio LLC in Albuquerque.

In late January, Brianne contacted me about particular cityscapes and landscapes on my website to show to a client. We arranged a studio visit, and she took a dozen pieces with her. And guess what, the client loved "Barcelona No. 2" and bought it on the spot! The remaining pieces are on display in their showroom now.

Thank you, Brianne and April, for making the connection! (CLICK ON ANY IMAGE BELOW TO START THE SLIDESHOW)

Back to school!

There are many roles an artist can play, and this Spring it was my turn to serve as a teacher through the Santa Fe Public Schools Visiting Artist Program. Starting March 26th, I guided 4th & 5th graders through a 12 class workshop. We made collages inspired by the still lifes of Italian painter Giorgio Morandi and learned about value at the same time.

What an experience, and so proud of what they accomplished! Use the navigation below to see for yourself.
